4 Ways to Finding the Right Answers to Your Burning Questions

Where to Start?

Time is precious and looking for the right answers to your questions can be extremely time consuming, especially if you are not sure where to look or who to ask.

So what can you do in order to find the right answers quickly?

Google It

The fact that 'googling' is now an officially recognised verb is not a coincidence. Billions of searches are being conducted on Google every single day and the results matching your search are becoming more and more accurate.

Although Google provides a vast knowledge base of information, it does not always have the ability to provide you with the type of answer you are looking for, which is a personalised answer directly related to the specific question you are asking.

Go Social

Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter & YouTube are by far the largest social media channels in the world, with an increasing emphasis on creating a user interface which is geared towards professional, as well as personal interests, not just the latter anymore.

New professional groups are being created daily, especially on Facebook and LinkedIn and even though these groups are helpful in order to find interesting articles and guidance on how to do certain things in a highly effective manner, a lot of these groups are overloaded with advertisements which makes harder to find the exact answer you are looking for.

Subscribe to Influencers, Interest groups & Websites

Depending on the answers you are looking for, you now have the ability to subscribe to a wide variety of interest groups on LinkedIn and Facebook or follow the so-called Influencers. It will take a little bit of research to identify the exact influencers & interest groups which will provide you with valuable information in line with the subjects you are interested in, but a number of these channels generate a decent amount of interaction and discussion from experts.

Some of the Influencers I personally are: Jim Rohn, Tony Robbins, Guy Kawasaki & Simon Sinek.

Websites like www.entrepreneur.com, www.businessinsider.com, www.inc.com, www.ted.com, and others provide great insights into a wide range of business and personal topics. They do, however, not provide you with the opportunity to receive a targeted answer to your specific questions.

Talk to an expert, either inside or outside of your organisation

Depending on the size and culture within your organisation, the fastest and easiest way to get an answer to a question is by asking an expert. Knowing who is an expert in which field will help you to get the right answers from the right people. If you do not know who these people are, ask your manager, who more often than not will know who you should be talking to.

If you have questions which cannot be addressed inside of your organisation or you would like to get an answer from an expert outside of your own professional environment, reach out to an expert who is highly knowledgeable in the areas your questions are related to.

At our organisation, we have a "You Ask, We Answer" philosophy. This means that if you have a question related to any of the following subjects, our experts will provide you with the answer.

The topics we specialise in are:

#Leadership #management #HR #effectiveness #success #Mentoring #business #learning #coaching #productivity #performance #Growth #Strategy #Entrepreneur

Good luck in quenching that thirst for wisdom and knowledge!
